First smile
September 12th- this was a week of milestones. This week you showed your first true social smile. I was making some funny faces and pretending to sneeze and you stared smiling and opening your eyes replay wide. It was adorable.

Baby Jordyn
I was in labor for about 25 hours. 14 of which were not medicated. By hour 15 I needed an epidural which only partially took. Finally around 9:30pmthe doctor came in and told me that most lowly I wasn't going to progress and needed a csection. Jordyn was born a few hours later.
Birth story
We were out with Sarah, Carrie, Reagan, Susan, Julie and Judy to do an escape room for Carrie's birthday. Before we went in we joked about how finnger would be if I went into labor in the escape room. Well low and behold as I personally found the last clue to help us win the game, I reached across the counter to give Chris a high 5 and my water broke! Off to the hospital before dinner. Lol
Coming Home
We were discharged from the hospital on August 3rd which was actually Jordyn's due date. All our family was there to help. Both sides. We are very lucky.

Week 37- scare
On July 12th I woke up with some bleeding and passed a blood clot, but I didn't know idiot was my mucus plug or not. I got scared and called the doc. She said if bleeding continued to go to the hospital. Bleeding stopped so inwent tom work. I had contractions all day, but it wasn't labor. Probably Braxton Hicks.
That evening I went to the doctor because I didn't feel right. My BP was elevated 152/96. They were going to send me to the hospital but my pressure came down once I was there for a while. They did a non stress test on the baby and she was fine so they sent me home.
The next day I saw Dr Cannon for a regular check up and he sent me to OB Triage for further testing. Everything came up normal so again they sent me home.
I was told to do a 24 hour urine test where I had to collect my pee in a container for 24 hours. I did it and they had a procesing error and could not get my results. To avoid doing it again Dr cannon sent me to OB triage again to get more tests and I ended up in the grey zone and I had to do the 24 hour urine all over again. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and waiting on results.

Baby at 32 weeks ultrasound
Jordyn decided to flip to head down position, but it took some cajoling to get her hands out of her face and to turn in a position where the ultrasound tech could get an image of her. We finally got one. Doc said she is measuring I the 38th percentile for weight and should be between 6.5 and 7 lbs at birth roughly. She was 4.2 lbs at her 32 week ultrasound.

Surprise Sprinkle
My mom and Alanna and mom-mom threw a surprise sprinkle for us on May 14th. They used my brother's birthday dinner as a decoy and I totally bought it. They secretly invited all my girls from Clearview which was a total surprise. So awesome! We got a lot of nice stuff and a ton of gift cards to help us buy what we need for the new baby. It was a really nice surprise! I'm waiting on my sister-in-law to give me pictures.
Elective ultrasound-fail
They made me drink a slurpy in the hope that she would move but no luck. We tried to get a video and some cute pics of Jordyn's face but she was not cooperative. She apparently was in a strange breech position where her face was turned in so that her back was facing outward and we couldn't get pics. We have to go back again in a few weeks. Hopefully we will be able to get better pictures. This is the only decent pic we could get. Jordyn at 28 weeks.

20 week ultrasound
Baby was moving so much that I had to lay on my side for 10 mins so they could get the pictures they needed of her heart. Little wiggle worm.

Belly Bump 18 weeks
My sleep is totally disrupted since I have to sleep on the couch. I absolutely cannot get comfortable in my bed, which sucks. Nausea is getting better but still gets me in the morning. Some aches and pains but otherwise not too bad. Going to see Dr. Cannon tomorrow and to hopefully I will get to hear the baby's heartbeat.

1/25/2016
We just found out tonight by phone call that we are having.......... A girl. I was totally shocked. I had no clue it would be a girl. Chris is very happy and I am too. We put an ultrasound pic on facebook to annouce the gender. Chris and I went back and forth about names. I was afraid that we would never agree, but then she agreed to one of the names I picked, so I am happy. I can't wait to welcome my daughter into the work!!

Baby bump pic # 2 - 11.5 weeks
The bump is now 45.5 inches and I feel like I have swallowed a mini basketball. My upper stomach got really hard over the last few days. Feeling large these days. I guess that comes with the territory.

Maternal Fetal Medicine
Today was my first external ultrasound. The baby was moving like crazy and it was really cool to watch. I also got a blood test that checks for Down Syndrome and it also can determine the gender. We have to wait about 10-15 days for the results. Today I am 11 weeks.

Ultrasound 5
The baby moved so much during my first ultrasound I couldn't believe it. He/She is really starting to look like a baby. My next appointment is with Maternal Fetal Medicine where I will get another ultrasound and a genetic blood test that will test for Down Syndrome and tell me the gender of the baby. In 2 weeks I will know the gender.
Ultrasound 3
This time I saw a heartbeat. 121 beats per minute. It was really neat to see the beating heart. I still haven't heard it yet. Doc says we will hear it at 12 weeks. All measurements are on target. Heartbeat is normal.
Ultrasound 2
It's amazing how much the baby grew in in a week.
I was monitored by the RE for 3 weeks until being released to the OBGYN in the end of December.
First Ultrasound
The first appointment after I had a positive HPT was called the Beta. The RE did a blood test to confirm pregnancy. I had to go every other day for a week to see if my HCG levels were growing. At this point I didn't know if I was having twins or not. My numbers came back good:
Day 1-972- 35
Day-3 -2281-32
Day 5- 4677-25
Day-7 10,657
After the blood tests were consistently growing they scheduled an ultrasound.
We confirmed a singleton pregnancy, which was a relief.
Told the family over the holidays. Dads side and Chris's side had the best reaction. My mom's side was boring and not as excited but that is to be expected. My parents seem real interested though.
